Twelve days in Ireland

Our summer highlight was our recent trip to Ireland. We traveled the country for 12 days with our family on a tour that showed us so many lovely spots. From Dublin, we started south and explored the country and some of its best locations for days on end. Our tour guide navigated narrow roads with expert-level skill and shared stories and deep historical knowledge at every turn. We saw wind, rain, lots of sheep, cows, and even a bit of sun each day. Sixty degrees on a summer day was a nice change of pace and we soaked in all the humidity we never see in Denver. I swapped between my phone and camera for photos throughout the trip, which created a nice mix of immediate photos to share and a good collection to edit once I was home.

My favorite portions of the trip included a Taylor Swift concert (!!!) and Phoenix Park in Dublin, Trim Castle, the western coast views from Dingle to Donegal (and the mountains between), the Cliffs of Moher, Slieve League, and a very impressive sheepdog demonstration. The entire west coast of the country is beautiful and was worth every stop we made. The terrain was incredibly varied and green the whole way.

The tour we used was really great and shouldered all the minute details of challenges you might face traveling in a foreign country. I'd happily recommend them to others looking for guidance in their travels in Ireland.
