A Celebration of Your Senior Year

My 2024 senior photo season has wrapped up, which means we have just a few months to prepare for the 2025 season ahead. As a Denver portrait photographer, seniors are a favorite part of my summer workflow. The season for senior photos is generally June through late September. Often, yearbook photo deadlines are in early to mid October, which means things have to be finalized by that time.

Getting to know senior clients and their personalities is one of the best parts of my job. Finding little things that make teens light up, smile, and laugh authentically is important in a session, and I'm here for the challenge. For most, this is their first solo photo session and I do everything I can set them at ease from the beginning. We chat, laugh, and break down posing in simple, natural ways. I loved learning that Ben wants to work with his hands as a mechanic, that Raylynne is planning on studying veterinary medicine, that Sienna wants to visit Japan after having a Japanese exchange student live with them this year, how much Valerie loves volleyball, and that Keegan spends all his free time making music in his own band.

Whether in the heart of the Colorado foothills, a beautiful open field, or downtown, this year's settings all worked beautifully. I love looking at senior sessions altogether, because each senior always finds a way to let their personality shine through uniquely.
